How to Design Your Own Logo in Less Than an Hour
Are you ballin’ on a budget but still need a professional looking logo? When you’re first starting out, spending a lot of money on a designer right away isn’t always feasible. BUT you need a logo ASAP, and don’t want it to look like a DIY.
Insert: Wordmarks. Also known as logotypes, wordmarks are a fast and easy way to create a logo for your brand that still looks beautiful, clean and professional! This type of logo only includes your business name – there’s no symbols, icons, or graphics involved. Below are some examples of brands that use a wordmark logo:

1. Choose a font.
Because wordmarks are so simplistic, typography is super important. When choosing a font, think of some adjectives or a mood that you want your overall logo to resemble. Is it feminine? Edgy? 2. Consider color, spacing, and font case.
When designing your logo, you should also consider color, font case, and letterspacing (AKA tracking). Each of these aspects can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of your logo.
3. Design your logo.
Canva is a great free tool you can use to create your logo. They have templates you can build from or you can create one from scratch. Once you have your template selected, you can choose from a number of fonts (or upload your own), select your colors, adjust spacing, etc.
You can also select from a number of graphic elements if a wordmark isn’t cutting it for you.
Then, just download your .png file and you’re good to go!
